Smokey Eyes - Just in 9 simple Steps

Smokey eyes never goes out of fashion, below is my humble step by step approach that I use to achieve the smoldering, sexy Smokey eyes fool proof. Try my method and share your thought with me.

Smokey Eyes Look- Before and After

One of the reason people love about having smoky eyes is its versatility. You can use pretty much any color and you can go from a soft smoky to a really dramatic look for a date night. Most women prefer to use shades of brown, blue, purple, bronze, green and charcoal to accentuate their eyes and achieve the look. So here is a step by step on how I do it.

Step1. Prepare and prime the eyelid using a primer to secure long lasting effects, you don't want your eyeshadow to feather and fade in after few hours. So invest in a good primer.

Step 2. Apply a pale gold or light beige cream eye shadow all over the eyelid. Purple is my new favorite color.

Step3. Using a flat eyeshadow brush, I personally like MAC #239   to pat a medium brown eye shadow 
on the eyelid.

 

Step4. Using a small brush , another favorite of mine is  MAC #219 Pencil Brush, use it to darken the crease and outer corner of the eye with a dark brown eye shadow  and try to blend the colors with fluffy blending brush.

Step5. Add a bi of dark brown eye shadow on your lower eye and smudge it a bit.

  

Step 6.Draw a line along the upper lashline with a intense Liquid eyeliner black or gel eyeliner a favorite is Yves saint laurent "Effect faux Cil Creme D'Eyeliner . To create the illusion of longer, bigger eyes, drag the line a few mm past the outer corner. Make sure to line the waterline to ensure that the  white spots won't  be noticeable  and make you look like a zombie.

Step 7. Brush an emphasizing highlighting color on the inner area of the eye and beneath the brow bone. this step is primordial to highlight and left your brow and frame your eyes.

Step 8. Apply a Volumizing mascara and fake lashes on upper lashes., Yves Saint Laurent faux cils mascara is good one, also a favorite of mine is EnvyDerm Eyelash Enhancement Mascara as it is harsh chemical free and ophthalmology tested and it also  moisturize and boost lash length with continued use.

Step 9. Apply a few coats of mascara on lower lashes. Try to coat just the outer part of the lashes in your eyes

Bonus Beauty Tips

* Do your eye makeup first if you are going to be using dark somber colors. This will minimize any effort to clean up your foundation and concealer afterwards.
